MY STORY

For over 10 years my life has revolved around bikes. After entering my very first local club race on a bike bought second hand from a friend, I was hooked.  For the last 7 years I have worked as a head mountain bike coach, managed workshops across several bicycle stores, owned my own bicycle workshop and worked as a head school camp instructor that involved taking a large number of students mountain biking. Not only do I have a passion for coaching and guiding, but I am also a keen mountain biker. I have competed nationally in enduro and have landed many podiums at both state and national titles. You can usually catch me out at my local trails at the You Yangs or heading out into the Victorian high country on a long weekend.

Why did I started Gear Up Cycling? 

Unlocking a rider's full potential is an amazing feeling as a coach. The friendships you watch form, the smiles and the laughs never get old.  I strive not only to deliver high quality coaching to mountain bikers but to inspire and get more people into the sport we all have so much love for. I have designed these programs to be a safe, fun and non-judgmental environment. Gear Up Cycling is a place where riders can connect, rapidly improve their skills and make memories. Whether you want to feel more confident riding trails by yourself or you're wanting to grab that top step in your next race, I cater to all riders and skill levels.  Starting my own mountain biking coaching business has always been a massive goal of mine. And I am proud to bring you Gear Up Cycling to a trail network near you.

What makes me qualified?

I am a certified PMBIA (Professional Mountain Bike Instructor Association) Level 1 coach. I also have qualifications as a mountain bike guide and in other outdoor recreation activities. Further, I possess my Working with Children's Check and current First Aid training. With over 7 years of experience in most aspects of the cycling industry, you can be rest assured you're in good hands.
